OK, Schro... You might know about these, but I just found out about them on Wikipedia and am trying to find them now just so you can read them.
DC printed a trilogy of Elseworlds comics that reimagined the DC Universe based on German Expressionism cinema. The first volume is called Superman's Metropolis, where as you may guess Clarc Kent-son is raised in the titular Metropolis from Fritz Lang's Metropolis movie in the 1920's... (one of the best sci-fi movies of all time IMHO.) The next part is Batman: Nosferatu... and there is no need for me to tell you what movie Batman crosses over with and the final part is Wonder Woman: The Blue Amazon...
I'm looking for it cause you're bound to love it, but wanted to let you know in case you can find it first or you fancy a peek on Wikipedia.

Oh FUCK yeah!
You know...German Expressionism is just up my alley. It's one of my favourite film styles, and if you poke about the DVD cabinet in my room, you'll find a lot of 'em.
Hearing that they've combined two of my favourite things into one has made my wednesday. Thanks Brit!
